On September 21, which marks Arbor Day, we shared one of our key initiatives for preserving the trees in our region. Here at Serra Verde Mining, we have a forest nursery where we cultivate seedlings of native Cerrado plants to restore the areas in which we operate. In the nursery, we produce 20,000 seedlings per year of various local species, including the beautiful Cipó de Lagartixa (pictured), one of the natural beauties of our region. By doing do, we promote biodiversity conservation while maintaining a balance between the ecosystem and mineral exploration.
