In 2021 more than 30 training courses were held for employees. We organize a variety of projects and programs to attract and support our employees:
Our Local Labor Selection and Training Program, in partnership with National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI), aims to offer positions and training to unemployed or vulnerable people and to minimize migration and associated pressure on local infrastructure. We offered ten positions to young, local people into our Young Apprentice Program.
The GuideMe Project offers support for our employees’ emotional health, also extending to their dependents. This platform offers monthly therapy sessions. This way, we promote the improvement of well-being and map the levels of stress, anxiety, and burnout in our company.
Our Women in Mining Program, aims to promote more diverse workplaces and provide opportunities for women. Initially the Company trained 40 women who wanted to work in large enterprises as heavy-machinery operators. Over 390 applications for these roles showed the strength of demand and highlights a duty to provide employment opportunities for women.
In line with our 10 Principles of Ethics and Conduct, the Company has a Program for Inclusion of People with Disabilities which is used throughout our recruitment and selection processes, as well as in day-to-day work.
